    8. 17. A bag of Pig feed will feed 18 pig in 54 days. how long will it feed 12 pig?
      18/54 = 12/n then cross multiplication you will get 18n = 648 then multiply each side by 1/18 so you'll get this n = 648/18 then the answer is 36.

      Delete
    9. Why 36? Are the 18pig consume longer than 12 pig? How it is goes?

    1. Just wanted to post why I think so...
      10. Formula for area = pi*r^2 so it is then 3.1416*135(squared) = 57255.66 sq.km

      14. Given information is % without specifying what percentage.

      18. 28,000 - (8% of 28,000) = 25,760
      then 25,760 - (5% of 25760) = 24,472 is the cost of the set.

      The faster way though is 100%-8% = 92% so 28,000*.92 = 25760*.95= 24,472 (cost)

      So if you got 85%, that might be why :)

    2. I only got 16 out of 20 ! I am really disappointed .I failed to answer 7,8,10 & 18 correctly.
      Can you please show me their solution?

    3. same solution on 10th, 14th and 18th.

      sir can i ask your solution on #17th ?
      im kinda confused. why does the pig feed lasted 54 days with 18 pigs, rather than the lesser? while they both have the same bags of pig feed

      Delete
    4. you'll use ratio and proportion there right?.. it's like this: 18/54=12/? so cross multiply 12 and 54 then divide it by 18, i know it's kinda hard to believe that the feed lasted less than with 18 pigs but that's how it is.. :))

      Delete
    5. i think you get it wrong, ulquiorra.

      it is kinda irrational that a supply lasted shorter when the demand become lower.

      lets assume a pigfeed bag weighs 1 kg.(for simplicity reasons than logic)
      to find the rate a pig eat each day.
      1kg(feed)/54(days) = 0.0185 kg/day
      0.0185 kg/day for 18 pigs.
      each pig eats 0.0010288 kg/day

      so, 12 pigs consumes 0.012345679 kg/day

      a 1-kg bag of pigfeed should last 81 days.

      Delete
    6. Yeah. #17 is really irrational. How could a lesser group consume the food faster? I did the same solution as with Marc.

      Delete
    7. Low demand... supply wil last longer

      Delete
    8. its simple..
      18x54=972
      972/12=81

      Delete
    9. yahh hahhah i have the same answer , to think that the number of pigs is lesser than before so therefore the supply will last longer than before so:
      18-12=6*54=324/12=81.... as simple as that lol.

    1. In #8, what you need to do is multiply 9hrs to 0.025 kilowatts (25 watts), which would be 0.225kWh.
      Then multiply 0.225kWh to Php1.5/kWh = Php0.3375.
      And multiply it again for 30days, so PhP 0.3375*30days= Php 10.125 for 1 month

    1. You should use this formula A = P(1 + rt) for simple interest.
      A = Total Accrued Amount (principal + interest)
      P = Principal Amount
      I = Interest Amount
      r = Rate of Interest per year in decimal; r = R/100
      t = Time Period involved in years

      Delete
    2. 653 cannot exist as an annual rate for any bank in the world. It's really huge. If 653 is the rate, then your money is going to be Php 22, 590 from Php 3000.

  29. The correct answer in number 17 should be 81. Since the number of consumers decreased (from 18 to 12), the supply should last longer.
